That's how it began

It's me
It all started with the purchase of my current horse. He was 17 years old at the time, so everyone assumed he was already well-trained. That was a mistake, though. I've worked with horses for years, but he was a completely different beast. His predecessor wasn't easy either, but I could handle him well with my limited knowledge at the time. My current horse was considerably more difficult. At first, I thought I'd gotten the wrong horse. It was anything but pleasant or enjoyable, as he was neither easy to handle on the ground nor in the saddle. I eventually got him to the point where he was incredibly well-behaved on the ground. Riding was a different story. But I'm grateful to him; thanks to him, I was able to overcome many obstacles and problems and learn an incredible amount. And I'm still learning from him, even though he's become a real treasure, both on the ground and in the saddle.

Since I'm constantly trying to improve myself, I've attended several courses. Here's a short list of what I've done so far:
- The catching challenge by Thomas Günter
- A 3-month coaching program for me and my horse, also with Thomas Günter
- Reien C license
- Horse-assisted coaching: basic principles and prerequisites
- Chi horsing seminar on the basics
- I am currently training to be a horse trainer with Horst Becker.
On top of that, I'm currently training a young mare who hasn't been properly trained; it's the typical "saddle on and off" approach. The main thing is that the mare can be sold for a good price, without any consideration for the consequences for the next owner. The mare barely knew the basics of being a foal, just enough to be haltered and led. I ran into the owner by chance at my stable, where she asked for my help. She'd seen how I work with my horse and hoped I could help her with the young mare. And I did. With a lot of work and effort, the owner and I finally managed to get her back on the right track. The owner is overjoyed that she can now work with her on the ground without fear.
